DUI and Reckless Driving charges DISMISSED and Sealed from Client’s Record.

Police on patrol at 1:00 AM when the officer clocks a vehicle traveling 103mph in a 35mph residential zone. Police stop the vehicle and make contact with Client. Client displayed bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, and Officer detected odor of alcohol on Client’s breath. Officer observed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle and Client admitted to drinking. Client failed all roadside field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Both criminal charges were COMPLETELY DISMISSED.

Colin Foote Penalties Avoided with NO LICENSE SUSPENSION.

Client pled guilty to 3 moving violations before retaining my office. Subsequently, the client was cited for 3 additional speeding 11+ violations within an eighteen-month period. Due to Rhode Island’s Colin Foote statute, client potentially faced a two-year license revocation, driver retraining courses, community service hours and extensive fines. 

Hit and Run Accident Charge DISMISSED and Sealed from Client’s Record.

Client rear ended another vehicle while approaching a red light on a congested roadway. After the accident, the client drove back to her house and was arrested by the local police department for fleeing the scene of an accident. After several conferences with the prosecution, the case was DISMISSED in its entirety and Client was not ordered to pay restitution.

Vandalism charge DISMISSED and Sealed from Client’s Record.

Client was arrested for vandalism when a motorist reported to the local police that client threw a hard object from his vehicle which damaged the other motorist’s vehicle. Motorist provided a description of client and provided client’s license plate to the police. After several conferences in court, the prosecution DISMISSED all charges against my client.

Client was arrested for suspicion of DUI after a traffic infraction was committed. Police noticed that client displayed bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, and there was an odor of alcohol emanating from the interior of client’s vehicle. Client failed all roadside field sobriety tests. Additionally, the client had three previous DUI convictions in various states. After extensive negotiations with the court and the prosecution, client’s criminal DUI charge was DISMISSED in exchange for a resolution to a lesser included civil charge.

Leaving the Scene of an Accident Damage Resulting DISMISSED.

Client’s vehicle was crashed into a telephone pole and police found the vehicle unattended at the scene. Since the vehicle was registered to the client, a multi-count summons was issued to my client which carried the potential for a license suspension and extensive fines. After multiple court appearances, I highlighted multiple flaws in the City’s case and all counts were dismissed against my client due to lack of evidence.

Civil Restraining Order DISMISSED Against Client After Hearing

Client’s girlfriend filed a restraining order against my client and a temporary restraining order was granted. Due to the temporary order, my client was forced to leave his house even though he and his girlfriend owned the house together. With no other living arrangements available, my client had no other choice but to proceed to a restraining order hearing. After extensive cross examination of client’s girlfriend, I exposed the flaws in her initial report and completely discredited her motive for filing the restraining order against my client. After the hearing, the restraining order was dismissed by the judge and my client could move back into his house.

Two Count Domestic Complaint DISMISSED Prior to Trial

Client was charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct. After a thorough investigation, I was able to highlight various discrepancies in the initial police report. Additionally, it was revealed that the initial police report was falsified. As a result, both counts were dismissed by the prosecution and sealed from my client’s record.

Speeding Ticket DISMISSED for CDL Driver

CDL client was cited for speeding while traveling through a construction zone. As a result, the client was facing increased fines, points on the CDL license, and the potential for a license suspension. After hiring my office, I was able to negotiate a dismissal of the citation on the first court date and the client avoided all potential penalties and court costs.

Obstruction and Resisting Arrest Charges DISMISSED

Client was arrested and taken into custody at a house party. After several court appearances and negotiations, both criminal charges were dismissed in consideration of community service hours. As a result, the client’s criminal record and employment opportunity were completely preserved.

Felony Unlawful Appropriation Charges REDUCED to Misdemeanor Filing

Client was accused of misappropriating money and other valuables from a family member. The felony charge carried a maximum penalty of up to twenty years in prison along with heavy fines. After many court appearances, the charge was reduced to a misdemeanor and a settlement was reached. The case was “Filed” and the case will be sealed from the client’s record in one year.
